Late in the cycle, Vilmiathien takes a class of Yath'abbanen into the common district of Szith to teach them how to properly handle Jalukul. While on there little field trip they stop at every male in the city they see (including the city guards), and berate them on anything they find. Just about every unfortunate male they speak to ends up getting at least a small piece of the lash. All except for De'llon by the circle, who always seems to have iron clad answers regarding working under the Valsharess and Ulathtallar's orders, making it very clear they would not be happy if his mission was interrupted. Vilm of course smiles at this, knowing full well that she ordered the pathetic Jaluk to keep track of all the shebali that come out of the common district.
After the whipping of several males through out the streets of Szith, the Ulathtallar and her students stop at one male in particular and begin giving him the third degree, making sure his faith in Lolth is sound. While they literally scream in his face, the male tries to bolt and get away from the onslaught, by foolishly casting clerical magics right in front of them!! The females, shocked by the males audacity to dare mutter prayers to Vhaerun, lay the fool low quickly.
Vilmiathien quickly orders them to drag the Jaluk back to the temple for questioning. As they drag the unconscious and bound jaluk past the circle, they stop before Il'haress Mori'hyanda and several others of house Mori'hyanda. There they torture the jaluk for hours, then Vilmiathien and Pau'mai give Z'ress permission to question him. Z'ress questions the Vhaerunite Jaluk for sometime, pulling the information out of him bit by bit, and finally placing a parasite in him that will kill him in 10 days if it is not removed. With out actually saying he will do so, Z'ress convinces the Vhaerunite he will remove the parasites if he brings the rest of Vhaerun's worshipers to the alter of Szith. The fool accepts blindly, already being driven mad by the parasite, and runs off into the night, to either bring offerings to Lolth's alter or to die horribley, or both.....
