Looks like it shall be I who looks for the middle ground, mainly since everyone else likes being partisan im always one to break a trend, usually with enough arrogance that people get annoyed, attack me and forget what they were arguing about in the first place.
This is how I see it, there is no specific targeting of Dev'Lin, I do not agree with this assessment. I do agree however that some elitism has taken place in some area's that can be annoying from time to time (there's a reason people dont like Coro, i designed him to annoy those elitists). For a long time Dev'Lin has tried to become involved in the core of drow politics and have been scuffed time and time again, this is nothing new to the Dev'Lin's. What Dev'Lin's will find annoying is that they are a powerhouse and still cant get some influence going without a fight.
Sorn's issue is he wants to obtain some power without turning into the houses of old which needless to say and anyone who disagree's is clueless and i call you out now, the houses bullied for power which is the standard drow, yet it was a detterence at the same time because what player wants to play a game so they can get harrassed by someone? Sorn is trying to avoid that style, I myself do not care, i earn the respect i receive, as either Coro or Korv, I have no qualms about bashing in another drow's skull, or in Coro's respect, blackmail, extort, kidnap or just flat out humiliate you, I have no qualms doing that, such conduct only reinforces my shady corrupt reputation im looking for anyway.
Sorn's feels the way he does because he feels that in a way which i can see his point of view, the Dev'Lin's are being pushed around because they do not want to abuse the power we have. Trust me Shria, over that incident, if we really wanted to play the true drow, Kor'all's would never find your body, icly we would make you disappear or if we follow that kill rule, when you die you forget yada yada. We have the power to play dirty but we dont.
It is not an issue of being targeted, it is an issue of not getting the respect in balance of the power we possess. Sorn gives the word, I have no qualms raising hell in Szith and playing really dirty, i've done it before, i can do it again. In our personal restraint to exercise our power on the other houses, the other houses presume that as a sign of weakness which technically they should, perhaps we shouldnt complain but rather act, if you dont want to give respect, there is nothing stopping us from earning it.
